Short answer
In Infor WMS, many screens in the WM module export the records you select to Excel. The export runs as a background job, and you download the file from Tools > Excel Export Downloads, a list that is cleared after 24 hours by default. Infor's general Information Security Plan says customers own their data and that, if you ask within 30 days of the end of Cloud Services, Infor makes it available as a database export before deleting it; check which terms your agreement includes.

You don't need to export anything to get started
To find out whether your records may be worth a closer look, your team size and years in business are enough. This guide is for seeing what Infor WMS holds and keeping a copy, especially before you change systems or cancel. For how licensing works, read how to sell or license your logistics company's data to AI developers.
What Infor WMS holds
Infor calls its WMS "a tier-1, cloud-based warehouse management system" and says it can "Control multi-site and owner inventory". In the WM module, "an owner is a unique code identifying the owner of the items." The system holds items, locations, customers, suppliers, carriers and ship-to records, along with receipts (ASNs), shipment orders, transfers and inventory adjustments.
If you use Infor's third-party logistics billing, it creates charges from that activity and from storage, and "The invoices and charges are stored in a data warehouse for historical reporting purposes."
How much you hold in Infor WMS
Infor's guide doesn't describe a screen that totals your records or shows your oldest one. "To display a list of all available records, click Search with no search criteria." Click a column heading to sort it in ascending order, and click it again for descending, so sorting a date column may show your oldest record. A practical way to size your history is to export with the widest search and count the rows in the file.
How to export Infor WMS records to Excel
These steps come from Infor's public user guide for release 2026.x. Infor publishes guides for other releases too, and screens may differ.
- Open the screen you want to export in the WM module, such as Item, Customer, Owner, Location, Ship To or Supplier.
- Click Search to display the records, and select the ones you want.
- Click the export button the screen shows:
- Export or Export to Excel exports "all fields of the selected records."
- Export Options lets you choose Export All, for all fields, or Export List View, for "only the fields of the selected records currently displayed on the screen."
- Click OK. The export runs "as a background process."
- Click Tools > Excel Export Downloads, select the file and click Detail. The file downloads to your web browser.
"Note that only one Excel file can be selected and downloaded at a time." The list "is cleared based on your configurations with the default value of 24 hours," so download each file promptly.
Screens with a header and detail section, and transaction screens, offer only the all-fields export. Export Options appears on screens such as Item, Customer, Owner, Location, Ship To and Supplier.
The guide doesn't say who can export, how many records one export can hold, or how to select every record in a long search at once. Check that your file's row count matches what you expected.
How each client's stock is kept separate
Infor WMS records an owner for the items it holds. "Owner records are initially created at the Enterprise (company) level," and some owner details can be set for each warehouse. Infor's 3PL billing can "group charges together into invoices tailored to each individual customer." The guides we read don't say whether each 3PL client is set up as an owner, or how to limit an export to one owner.
Bulk exports and other routes
Infor's 3PL billing can export invoices "to an xml file which can then be imported into an accounting package." The public guides we read don't describe a bulk export of your full history.
What Infor publishes about your data
Infor's general Information Security Plan, which it says is incorporated into customer agreements, says "Customer owns all proprietary rights to its Data" and that Infor "will not commercially exploit Data." It also says "Aggregated Statistics are the sole property of Infor and are not considered Data"; these are statistics about how its services are used and perform. If you ask by support ticket within 30 days of the end of Cloud Services (10 days for single-tenant), Infor makes your data available "as a native database export", and it permanently deletes online or network-accessible copies within 35 days. The plan doesn't name Infor WMS, so check which terms your agreement includes.
Infor's privacy policy covers personal data. For people whose details sit in a customer's system, it says "please see that customer's privacy policy", and it says transfers to companies that help Infor provide its services "are governed by our agreements with our customers." It lists processing "depersonalized data for statistical or other research purposes" as one legal basis for handling personal data, but doesn't say whether that applies to the records in your WMS.
Check your signed agreement and order form.
Before you share anything from Infor WMS
If you run a 3PL, much of what Infor WMS holds is your clients' stock, orders and shipments. Client data is generally treated as the client's. See the 3PL and contract logistics page and the warehousing and fulfillment page for which records are usually the business's own and which are held for others.
Questions about Infor WMS data
How long do I have to download an export?
By default, the Excel Export list is cleared after 24 hours, though your setup may use a different period. Download each file once it's ready.
What happens to my Infor WMS data if I cancel?
Under Infor's general Information Security Plan, if you ask by support ticket within 30 days of the end of Cloud Services (10 days for single-tenant), Infor makes your data available as a native database export, and it deletes online copies within 35 days. The plan doesn't name Infor WMS, so check your signed agreement and export what you need before your contract ends.
Do I need to sort out my records first?
No. Start by filling in our short form with your team size and years in business. Rough numbers are fine. If you are about to cancel or switch software, export your records first: see Before you cancel or switch logistics software.
